Who we are

INTENSE LABEL LTD (“INTENSE LABEL”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16561016). We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page, which means we decide how and why it’s used.

For anything to do with your data, email intense.techno@outlook.com.

The short version

  • No cookies, no tracking, no advertising.
  • We measure page speed anonymously, and you can switch it off.
  • Beyond the basic logs every web server keeps, we only hold the details you choose to give us.
  • We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we collect, why, and our lawful basis

Mailing list. If you join, we keep your email address to send you news about our releases, events and store, along with a record of when and how you signed up so we can show you agreed. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing us. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew.

Messages. If you use the contact form or email us, we use your name, email address, the reason for contact and your message (plus anything else you choose to include) to deal with your enquiry. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about the label. If your message is about a booking or deal, it’s also to take the steps you’ve asked for before any agreement.

Demo submissions. Demos are collected through a Google Form we run and stored in our Google account. We use your name, contact details, your music and anything else you include to listen to your demo, decide whether to work with you and, if we choose, reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in reviewing music sent to us. If we sign a release with you, our agreement becomes the basis from then on. Uploading files to the form requires you to sign in with a Google account, which Google handles under its own privacy policy. Please don’t include sensitive information, such as details about your health, in a submission.

Pre-saves. Pre-save pages are run by Push.fm. When you pre-save, you connect your streaming account to Push.fm under its own terms. If you give your email address on a pre-save page to hear from us, we receive it and treat it exactly like a mailing-list signup: with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Technical data. The server that hosts this site automatically logs basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure. We don’t use this data to identify or profile you.

Page-speed measurement. We use Vercel Speed Insights to see how quickly pages load. For each page view it records the page address, loading-speed scores, your browser, operating system, device type, connection speed and country. It isn’t linked to your IP address, sets no cookies and can’t identify you or follow you between pages. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site fast. You can switch it off on our Cookie Policy page.

Store. The store isn’t open yet and takes no orders or payments. We’ll update this policy before it does.

Joining the mailing list, contacting us and sending a demo are all voluntary, and there’s no legal or contractual requirement to do any of them. Without your details, we simply can’t send you news, reply to you or review your demo.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal data. We use a small number of providers to run the label:

  • Microsoft (Outlook), which hosts our email inbox
  • Google (Forms and Drive), for demo submissions
  • Push.fm, for pre-save pages
  • Vercel, which hosts this website, keeps the technical logs above and runs page-speed measurement
  • our mailing-list provider, which we’ll name here before signups open

These services are provided under each company’s standard terms, and Microsoft, Google and Push.fm also process data under their own privacy policies. We may also share data with professional advisers, or where the law requires us to, such as to comply with a court order.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers, including Microsoft, Google and Vercel, may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK–US Data Bridge) or by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the ICO’s international data transfer agreement. Email us for a copy of the safeguards that apply.

How long we keep it

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep just your email address on a “do not contact” list, based on our legitimate interest in making sure you aren’t added again by mistake.
  • Messages and demos we don’t take forward: kept only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or demo, then deleted.
  • Demos and details from artists we sign: kept while we work together, and afterwards only as long as the law requires, for example for tax records.
  • Technical logs: kept by our host only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, normally no more than 30 days.

Keeping it safe

We keep your data in reputable, access-controlled accounts, limit who at the label can see it, and delete it on the schedule above. We don’t make any decisions about you by automated means alone.

Other sites

Links to Spotify, SoundCloud, Beatport, Instagram, Push.fm and our Google demo form take you to services we don’t control. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply once you’re there, for example Google’s privacy policy.

Cookies

This site doesn’t set any cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the settings we store in your browser and how to switch off page-speed measurement.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • correct it if it’s wrong or incomplete
  • delete it
  • restrict how we use it
  • send it to you or another organisation in a portable format

Your right to object. You can object at any time to us using your data on the basis of our legitimate interests, and we’ll stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue. You can always stop marketing emails, no reason needed.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Some of these rights have legal limits, and we’ll explain if one applies. Email intense.techno@outlook.com to make a request. It’s free, and we may need to confirm your identity first. We’ll respond within one month. If a request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months, and we’ll tell you why within the first month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we’ll delete them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data we already hold, we’ll tell you directly where we can.
