This site doesn’t set any cookies and uses no advertising or tracking. It measures how fast its pages load, anonymously, and you can switch that off below. It stores at most two small settings in your browser, and only when you act on the notice or the switch.

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Local storage does a similar job. UK law treats both the same way: storing anything in your browser needs your consent unless a legal exemption applies.

We use Vercel Speed Insights, from the company that hosts this site, to see how quickly pages load for real visitors so we can keep the site fast. On each page view it records:

• the page address
• loading-speed scores for that page
• your browser, operating system and device type
• your connection speed, such as 4G
• your country

It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and isn’t linked to your IP address. It can’t identify you or follow you from page to page. UK law allows measurement like this, used only to improve the site, without asking for consent first, as long as we tell you about it and you can say no. To say no, use the switch:

The settings above are only saved when you close the notice or use the switch, hold no personal data, aren’t shared with anyone and do nothing except remember that choice. We consider they fall within UK law’s exemption for storage that’s strictly necessary to provide something you’ve asked for, so they don’t need consent. If you’d rather they weren’t stored, leave the notice open, or clear them at any time (see below).

Audio previews, artwork and fonts are all served from this site. Apart from the page-speed measurement above, which runs through our own host, nothing loads from Spotify, SoundCloud, Google or any other third party while you browse here, so none of them can set cookies through this site.

When you follow a link to Spotify, SoundCloud, Beatport, Instagram, Push.fm or our Google demo form, you leave this site and that platform’s own cookie policy applies.

If we ever add embedded players or anything that tracks you, we’ll ask for your consent before it loads and list it here.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Clearing it will simply bring the cookie notice back, and turn page-speed measurement back on if you’d switched it off. For how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
